June 29, 2007, Newsletter Issue #77: What are reasonable ADD ADHD accommodations?

Tip of the Week

A reasonable accommodation for ADD ADHD is a change in expectations, or the way things are done, that takes a personīs disability into account. It does not provide an advantage over others, but levels the playing field. A reasonable accommodation might be allowing extra time on a test, reducing the amount of homework to be done, or providing someone to read or write for the student.
