A child diagnosed as ADD ADHD is entitled to reasonable accommodations under the law. While getting schools to provide accommodations should not be an issue, it often is. Do not be intimidated by school officials who insist that they cannot provide what you request - they are often considering their budget rather than your child. Remember you are your child's best advocate.
Excellent point everyone including paents and teachers and administrators need to know that the child is an important person and the law protects them
I have a 3 ADHD children. The teachers have always tried to accommodate us. Nothing is helping my 13yr old. Is there a list of accommodations?
